Healing Jam//

Peter Pleyer

Fake Healing is an exchange that prioritizes deep listening, improvisation and collaboration, it was brought into the contemporary queer dance and performance world by Keith Hennessy and is inspired by Valentina Desideri’s Fake Therapy and Jennifer Lacey’s Fake Art Therapy. Keith writes about it: “Fake Healing is a kind of joke that just might work. Torture is everywhere, so healing needs to be queerly re-imagined for the current era.”

Peter is a dancer and choreographer living in Berlin, teaching and performing internationally. He is a co-founder of P.O.R.C.H. summer-education program at ponderosa-dance. His most recent performances were with Keith Hennessy and together with Jenniffer Lacy for Antonija Livingstone. Fake Healing was a regular practice during these projects as a warm-up and a deepening of the relationships between the performers, an exercise on beauty.

UN_Dressing Ritual//

Daan van Kampenhout

This In this ritual there are four stations: one for being clothed, one to undress, one to be naked and one to put your clothes back on. These are options, not obligations: you yourself decide in which quarter you will be and for how long. We slow down the process of (un)dressing, bringing our awareness to whatever it is we are doing and experiencing. Simultaneously we are creating our own experience, all in the same process, being mirrors for each other. We look at each other, but we do not interact physically or verbally.

Shamanic practitioner for more than 25 years, Daan has studied with traditional healers and shamanic teachers from carious cultures (Lakota, Southern Ute, Sami and others). Combining elements of shamanic ritual and family constellations, he developed Systemic Ritual®. Daan is the author of seven books, his work has been published in then languages. You will have the opportunity to enjoy your fellows to stimulate the five senses, with the aim of amplifying your levels of perception up to awake your “sixth sense”.Come in the group and “senti!”.

Flash Jam//

Julian Crotti

I've A heady irreverent slide. Throw out any notions of structure. This series of exercises is thrown together like spaghetti on the ceiling. With me your chef hoping it is done and will stick.Together we may or may not answer these questions. Where can I take you if I lead you? Are you comfortable furniture for me? Are my titties your temple?Bring the spirit of your most emotionally empowered feminine heroes. It doesn’t matter which flavour - Arundhati Roy, bell hooks, Beyoncé – but you should have one in mind as we are looking to get hysterical and free.

Julian has worked as a physical performer in Australia since forever. Here in Berlin (since 2011)  he has sought out solidarity amongst gay men. Particularly seeking wisdom in all its forms. This manifest mostly as being a workshop slut for men’s groups that explore desire and potential in collective conscious sexualized spaces (and karaoke). Sex Heart Bones Song//

Kai Ehrhardt

Gentle, self-generated soundscapes and unpredictable, organic movements will accompany this continuum movement journey into our bodies. Intention and vibration touch the surface of the skin, meandering to and through our bone structure – the densest regions of our being and identity. Similarly, we awaken and claim both, the heart and the genitals from the inside, then continue to weave sensory awareness, sound and bone knowledge until we unwittingly shift from producing to becoming - something other then the sum of our parts. Discover and meet who else lives inside of you!

Kai is a breath therapist based on Prof. Ilse Middendorf's work, an authorized Continuum Movement teacher, holds the German Heilpraktiker license for psychotherapy and co-founded the Somatic Academy of Berlin. In this version of contact improvisation it is allowed to touch the entire body by chance and also intentionally.  Co-creative dancing and being with others, assuming active and passive roles in various percentages, queer sensuality, erotic, even acrobatic moments – all of this will be put into context with each other.  A safe container will be held which will allow the participants to express themselves fully and freely.  As well as being a lot of fun, this practice also has a very integrative and healing effect.

Yes and No//

Andreas Demmel

Every time we say Yes or No, but actually mean the opposite, we experience an inner conflict. This creates conflictive patterns, which we carry in our body memory. If we become aware of them they can be resolved and the energy can be re-directed. The systemic-somatic constellation work helps us to meet this topic with our whole body and allowing movement in relation to these polarities, finding moment-to-moment expression and reconciliation.

Social Worker with training in classical family constellation work, Nature Constellation Work, Systemic Ritual®, several years of experience with somatic work, body work, meditation and breath work. Extensive involvement with issues around love, sex, relationships, Tantra, BDSM, Taoism, sexual energy and the healing of sexual trauma. Experiences with the healing potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness. Emancipation from Normativity//

Zeljko Blace

This workshop will look at emancipatory movements and personal growth of queers with a special focus on sport as one of the last bastions of discrimination especially related to gender and sexuality. It perpetuates power relations and is often the source of early traumas for queer youth - leading to alienation of one's own body or social isolation. For this reason urgency of its queering and reclaiming is gaining momentum and its methods of engagement go beyond usual activist practices.

Zeljko works in fields of contemporary culture, digital media technologies and community sport. Cross-pollinating queer, media and social practices in his work as artist, activist, researcher, producer, designer, curator, critic... He was co-founder of Multimedia Institute/club MaMa in Zagreb, researcher at Jan van Eyck Academie, PatchingZone.nl and PhDArts.eu. He instigated QueerSport community and was president of qSPORT.hr society for queer athletes and sport enthusiasts.

Organ Touch and Exploration//

Zahiro Kai Esco

In this workshop we explore and touch our inner organs. Hereby we get to know about their relation to the rest of the body. With presence and intuition we learn to access them using the Thai meridian system („sip sen“) on the one hand, and mindful, caring and patient surface touch on the other. We become acquainted with basic principles of bodywork, while practicing a simple sequence with a lightly dressed partner.

Zahiro has been practicing Thai Yoga Massage for many years. During his annual visits to Asia, he learned this massage form and other types of energetic bodywork by studying at all important schools in Thailand. Since 2008, he is a teacher for Thai Yoga Massage. Gay Ancestors//

Daan van Kampenhout

Almost all of us grew up in straight families without direct gay role models, but (known to us or not) we all have gay ancestors. In this workshop, using elements of ritual, we connect to the ancestor field that lies behind us so we can step into the footprints of the gay men from our own lineage. In each generation, gay men have been born - regardless if they could live an open life or not, gay men have always been there, throughout all time. Connection to our own gay ancestors gives us a new sense of place, it gives us roots and ground.

EXHIBIT/ionism//

Deiter Heitkamp

Watching and letting oneself be watched is an important aspect in the relation between a model and a painter / photographer and as well between a dancer / performer and members of an audience. Communication through touch is a fundamental element in Contact Improvisation. Letting oneself be touched can be a playful, adventurous journey into risky territory – not necessarily breathtaking acrobatics, but who knows? Not knowing as an option. When do you say “NO”, set a boundary? Multidirectionality – How direct can we be?

Dieter is a professor for Contemporary Dance and directs the Department for Contemporary and Classical Dance at the HfMDK Frankfurt am Main. From 1978 to 1995 he has been one of the artistic directors of Tanzfabrik Berlin. Since 1977 he has been deeply involved with studying, teaching and performing Contact Improvisation, dance and interdisciplinary work. His choreographies have been presented in many countries and continents. He has also choreographed for Ballet Frankfurt, the Ballet of the State Opera Berlin and for Theater and TV. In the last years his performance research has led to the development of several lecture performances and installations combining practice & theory, movement, live music and video.

Medieval Queer Ballroom//

Madame Irma

Renaissance and medieval dances are a particular mixture of dance and theater, they often show us that gestures associated with gender rolls might not have always been as they are today. We will use ancient music and explore some traditional dancing steps to create a fantasy/cross-dressing ballroom in a playful, carnival like, and flirtatious atmosphere. We will not focus in learning long codified sequences, but rather in building a group connection, and a playground where we can improvise and have fun with the joy and the curiosity of a child who uses movement to discover and to develop life.

Regression Therapy aka The Big Baby//

Jeremy Wade

Therapy is so amusing. We are so structured and constructed as liberal humanist subjects through a multitude of therapeutic techniques that we invent more therapy in attempts to decode our over coded selves. That being said, I am totally fascinated with regression therapy, from rebirthing to past life regression to role playing big babies in a Doctor’s office or dungeon to channeling your inner ape at the office. Let's regress. Let's forget. Let's get hypersensitive and needy. Let's take our selves apart and go further down the rabbit hole towards the THE GIANT BABY! Diapers not included.

Jeremy is an American dancer choreographer and performance curator living in Berlin.

Cock Bondage//

Amalion von Effensteyn

Softening this for many of us our genitals are associated with some kind of conditioning or taboo. Being sensitive and vulnerable, they are associated with any number of projections - from pathetic weakness of the loser to flaming sword of the tyrant. What do we feel if we exaggerate these projections? In the first part of the workshop Amalion will show you possibilities to "stage" the cock with some simple bondage techniques. Knots, grips and ties for effectivity and safety will be demonstrated. The second part consists of a coached bondage session between you and your partner. During this phase the focus will be on contact and interaction. No previous knowledge necessary.

Amalion is a passionate researcher, navigator, dreamer, dancer and adventurer. And he loves connecting to people. He studied and is still studying Kinbaku and Shibari among others with Nawashi Kanna, Akira Naka, Osada Steve, Kinoko Hajime, Otowaya Otonawa, Hagen, Felix Ruckert and Shadow. His way of tying is strongly influenced by his experience in movement, body- and consciousness work, his view on aesthetics and his inclination towards precision and love for detail.

This love is not about looks but connection, integrity and capacity to be in harmony.

Sensual Eclipse//

Jo Koppe

When our main senses are taken away, we enter a state of increased awareness on all other levels. This is an invitation to a one hour session of sensory deprivation, an hour without seeing or hearing. It is an invitation to make contact with ourselves and with others in a different dimension. An invitation to perceive and experience physical touch, smell, proximity and distance, space and time, movement and stillness, our own body and those of others, in a state of increased sensitivity. An invitation to explore how silence gives space to our bodies to unfold in a new timing, and how darkness reveals sensual poetry.

Jo is a freelance dancer, performer and facilitator. He completed his dance education at TIP/bewegungs-art Freiburg and holds a Magister degree in Sociology and Gender Studies. As a performer he has worked with Keith Hennessy, Costas Lamproulis, Lea Martini, and Kai Simon Stoeger among others, and also develops his own solo work.
