Continuum Teachers

Caryn Heilman is a Continuum teacher authorized by Emilie Conrad.  She began her journey with Emilie’s personal mentorship in 1994.  She founded LiquidBody in 2000, after dancing for ten years with the Paul Taylor Dance Company to explore a Continuum-based dance approach.  She received an MFA fellowship at the University of California, Irvine and spent those two years in class with Emilie at her Santa Monica studio.  She is a Registered Somatic Movement Educator, RSME, through the International Somatic Movement Education Therapy Association, ISMETA and serves on that Board.  She offers ongoing virtual classes and workshops to students worldwide as well as in person workshops in New York, Massachusetts, Italy, Athens and anywhere else in the world students request she travel.

• Continuum Virtual annual and seasonal series of Monthly Dives taught collaboratively with Teri Carter

• Audience-interactive dance works for stage, screen, installation and social and mobile media formats

• Video art
