Continuum Teachers

Amber Elizabeth Lynn Gray

Amber’s portal to Continuum was Haitian dance; in the late 1990’s she studied and danced with Ballet Bacalou, the troupe Emilie Conrad co-founded in the 1950’s.  Authorized by Emilie in 2006, she began teaching in Santa Fe, and in 2010 she established Continuum Movement in Australia. She is an award winning dance movement therapist and internationally recognized

somatic trauma therapist who has been a champion and pioneer for movement and creative arts therapies with survivors of war and

torture. Amber is the originator of Restorative Movement Psychotherapy for trauma;  Polyvagal-informed dance movement therapy, and Continuurhythm™: Poly-vagal informed Continuum for trauma, a fusion of Haitian sacred dance and tradition, the Polyvagal Theory, and Continuum. Amber’s work integrates many years of study with medicine people in the United States, Haiti, Sámi land and Aboriginal Australia; an open heart; and a curious mind.
